What matters now

There are so many things to accomplish and so little time. The interests of our lives tend to peak and valley like the seasons. So I try to do what matters most today at that moment. Sometimes I miss the mark let’s face it I can be self absorbed. However that’s ok because sometimes I get the chance to make it right (God willing).

Crickets back story

I was walking through an old farm site where back in the day the land owner put a paved drag strip on his land and sold insurance to anyone who wanted to drag race. I don’t know how successful he was but you could still walk on the drag strip even though it was very grown over with weeds. The only part of the house that was left was an old window sill that was held in place by grape vine. I noticed the crickets chirping there love song and thus was born this poem.
