What matters now

There are so many things to accomplish and so little time. The interests of our lives tend to peak and valley like the seasons. So I try to do what matters most today at that moment. Sometimes I miss the mark let’s face it I can be self absorbed. However that’s ok because sometimes I get the chance to make it right (God willing).

The Tale of the Little Birdie

There was this little baby bird that fell from its tree on a cold and frosty early spring morning. Seeing the predicament it was in it starts fussing, "Pa peep! Pa peep!"

Then along comes this cow, she looks down at the little birdie on the ground shivering and nearly frozen and feels sorry for it. So she raises her tail and... "Splat!" ...She drops a steaming hot cow pie right on top of it.

Now the cow pie, while smelly was also very warm and soon the birdie was singing because he was warm. Then the little bird starts fussing again because it's was hungry... "Pa peep! Pa peep!”

Along comes a mean ole Coyote... The little birdie was very scared. The Coyote reaches down nice and easy into the cow pie and picks the little bird up. He raises the birdie higher and gently and brushes the dirt off him real nice.

And then... "Gulp!" he swallows the little bird down all in one bite!

The moral of the story! Not everyone who poops on you is trying to take advantage of you, and not everyone that pulls you out of the poop is your friend, so if you are happy in a pile of pooh keep your mouth shut.
