What matters now

There are so many things to accomplish and so little time. The interests of our lives tend to peak and valley like the seasons. So I try to do what matters most today at that moment. Sometimes I miss the mark let’s face it I can be self absorbed. However that’s ok because sometimes I get the chance to make it right (God willing).

BE all that You can BE!

There are few things in life that I think matter. One of them is knowing that somebody is there for you when you’re down, cornered or simply need guidance. I like to say you know who’s got your back when you’re in a jam. In the fire service we call two in two out or don’t leave your partner behind.

Another is knowing that you can count on someone to be upfront and tell you straight. Sometimes we can be short sited and not see the whole picture. It’s always good to have another pair of eyes on the situation. Especially if that someone will listen to you and give you good direction so you can see a little more clearly. Sometimes the brain gets a little smoky from emotions and such. It don’t necessarily make them right but it gives you another set of eyes on the bigger picture.

We can all lead by example. Someone will most likely look to us for direction or have certain expectations of us. We might not have the answers but we can be a rock for them. What I’m saying is stand by your people when they need you and be there for them when you can. Try not to be putting out any junk advice. If you lead by example then don’t lead them into destruction.

If you’ve cultivated someone or a group of people with love and care then let them fly and see what they can do. But, don’t leave your people behind and don’t just give them the tools and let them go. Give them a chance to screw up but hold their hand if necessary. Help them to learn from their mistakes. Listen to them with love and caring and don’t leave them confused and wondering what the FUCK! Excuse my language some words need to be said just so you get my point. I know we can’t be everything to everybody but we can be something to someone.

In the long run we really can only change ourselves. Each one of us can only change what we do and how we behave. Everybody has got to be responsible for the messes they make and the neurotic things they think and do.

Oh well that how it goes but you can be responsible for how you treat others. You can treat them kindly, listen to them, love them, speak peace to them, and be the instrument of opportunity for them.
Remember we are not who we think we are we can only be the best creatures that god has given us the power to be. We don’t have to be nasty we don’t have to be mean and we don’t have to be cruel. But we can be true to one another.

I say all of this with love and experience you can agree or disagree I DON’T MIND one bit that’s just me and it’s what I think.

Shot down in flames OR What is divine in you

Everyone has a story in life and I can only be true to my life experiences when I write.

There are people I love and admire.
Most have shaped my world.

There are points of reference and learning.
Mistakes made will make you a better person.

It can be natural for us to feel stunned, in despair, put off or anger when we perceive that we aren't good enough.
We can spend our time spinning around in tangents of damming emotion getting nowhere.
I can say first check your ego at the door, it can be a cancerous tumor upon your conscious.

Take a chance on someone with no expatiations you will be surprised when you do.

Don't forget to trust. Trusting what is true, divine in you.
Don't forget to love. Feel at home within your person and give it away.
Don't forget to forgive. Live in the easiness of the moment through compassion.
Don't forget grace and mercy. Finding the heart center of all who surround you.

Experience the full measure of your breath each time you breathe in.
Smile with your eyes when you breathe out.

Be Careful My Child

Be careful while roaming around the crevasses of your mind. You might allow regret or sadness concerning the past capture you and hold you as a prisoner. Don’t look too far into the future for things that are not in existence. Instead break free and live in your current circumstance. Live as a noble force and make caring transformation happen. Look into the world and see what needs the tender touch of your hand and pray that it is so. Let the kingdom of heaven be in your presence here and now and rest upon the beauty of peace.

YOGA - Bitter Sweet

Today I became a Certified Yoga Teacher. I didn't do this alone.  I did it with an incredible Teacher and a wonderful Group of very inspiring women who are as special as they are lovely. I have also met lots of other wonderful and interesting people along the way. It's been a sweet day because I've been looking forward to this day, now I have a chance to share a gift that has changed me. It's also been a bitter day because I will miss those hardworking weekends of learning and sharing time on the mat with those ladies.

Yoga has changed how I live and think about each day, and how I approach daily life problems. I have grown into a better and more aware person in my physical, mental, and spiritual life. I have become physically fit through the practice of yoga and more aware of how I feed my body. I am able to mentally zero my focus into a single breath, have fun, and not worry about the stuff in life that just happens. It has as well helped me to tune into my spiritual life and spend more time in meditation on my higher purpose in life. I have also learned how to let go of my ego and see the beauty in the change and personal growth in myself and others.

I have shared lots of sweat and even some tears during my practice on the mat. One of the most moving moments for me was after the loss of my sister. I cried that day on my mat. There was beauty and bitter sweetness in that moment because of the sting of death.  But you know I wasn't judged on how good I looked in a pose, I was allowed to just be me. No judgment, no expectations, no fuss.

So remember its just yoga y'all come as you are and don't worry if you don't think you can or can't do it. It really is just a union of breath and movement.

The Light in me.

The light in me will only shine as bright as I allow it to shine. If I am bound with fear and ego my light wont shine brightly and I will speak from a dark place. If I am free from my desires and fears I will speak love and kindness and the Light in me will magnify the light in you.
